You do not kill the Creators sacred animals. The albino creatures are especially watched over by the Creator and the Great Spirit. Shame, shame shame on them. That will bring the wrath of the Creator.
” The killing of a white moose in Cape Breton has raised the ire of nearby Mi’kmaq First Nations and conservationists.
Photos of the kill were first posted on the Facebook page of Nova Scotia hunting and gaming shop Hnatiuk’s Hunting & Fishing Ltd. on Oct. 4.
Commenters on that Facebook thread, though, quickly pointed out that white animals are considered scared and the moose had purposefully not been hunted out of respect for local First Nations.
Hnatiuk’s hunt shop, to their credit, were nothing short of respectful and professional upon realizing the animal’s significance. They responded on Oct. 7 that they and the hunters involved were willing to take the appropriate steps to conserve the moose’s hyde and help to perform the appropriate ceremonies of respect.
