    • That my sister is the truth. The first nations listen to their people. they believe in the circle. That all are equal in the circle. No one above them, no one behind them. We are all equal n the circle. They also would not allow us to destroy the Earth in which we live ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Amen to that. Then more people should ask permission to be part of “some” circles so we can be heard from governments…so government and many people can stop saying, us and them…WE are the intruders that came from Europe and UK (well, my family anyway) and it is a privilege to live on this free land …but when I read my history, it shames me.

    • My ancestors were not the savages that history protrays. I am the Grandaughter of many Great Chiefs and Sachems. My grandfather was the Native American The Last of the Mohicans movie was based on. Its truly sad that he gave the Government alot of land. But they always kept taking more. It is truly sad ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • That IS such a sad story…saw the movie many times. What can we learn from this? Even today, I find myself arguing with not just friends but family for they influenced by misinformation…I know very little but am open to learn and not “assume”. My work allows me to learn from youths who reach out across the country. I am blessed and love my work. Namaste.

      • I agree. I dated a man of Jewish faith for several years and going to Synagogue I felt at home reading their prayer book, written in Hebrew on one side and English on the other. I am quite old, you see and I remember my prayer book was written in Englsh or French on one side and Latin on the other. We adopted their wordings for so many of our prayers as well. I find it fascinating to see similarities more than differences. I do not practise anymore however I a spiritual and I do believe in a Great Spirit…the rest is a bit cloudy…but following the Golden rule keeps me on the right path I think.
