In the days of my ancestors. Brother Buffalo and Brother Wolf  ran free across Turtle Island. In abundance ,as far as the eyes could see. The Sacred Eagle soared above the clouds and above the storms. Sending messages and sacred feathers from the Creator. The animals, the food, and my ancestors were plenty. The the winds of change came upon this land called Turtle Island, with destruction in its wake. Now Brother Buffalo and Brother Wolf and the Sacred Eagle. Are no longer in abundance. My ancestors were almost massacred to the point of extinction. When will the world’s people be satisfied? When no living thing is upon the Earth? My ancestors were proud warriors and Chiefs and Clan mothers. Who held Mother Earth and all living creatures on it as sacred. You call us savages? Beware the ones who speak-with forked tongues. If my ancestors were savages then I’m proud to be one today. AHO
